Excavator grab refers to the grab used together with the excavator, which is generally a hydraulic grab driven by hydraulic cylinder. The grab bucket of the excavator is a sling that grabs and unloads bulk materials by the opening and closing of the left and right combined buckets or multiple jaw plates. The grab bucket composed of multiple jaw plates is also called the grab.

Excavator grab can be divided into shell-shaped grab and orange petal grab according to shape. The former is composed of two complete bucket-shaped components, and the latter is composed of three or more jaw plates. The grab bucket of the excavator is equipped with an opening and closing structure, which is generally driven by hydraulic oil cylinder, so the grab bucket composed of multiple jaw plates is also called hydraulic claw.

According to the operation characteristics, the excavator grab can also be divided into two types: slewing and non-slewing. The grab without slewing adopts the oil circuit of the excavator bucket cylinder, without adding additional hydraulic valve block and pipeline; A set of hydraulic valve blocks and pipelines shall be added to control the grab with swing.
